Taking the best of the Lumia 800 model, the new Nokia Lumia 900 features a larger 4.3 inch AMOLED touch screen display with ClearBlack technology, also added to this new model is a front facing camera for video calling and iCloud storage, there’s also an 8 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics that can capture 720p HD video which now has the added benefit of a dual LED flash.
Run by a speedy 1.4GHz processor with 512MB of RAM the Lumia 900 runs the latest Windows Phone 7.5 operating system also found in the new Nokia Lumia 610 and Lumia 710 models, this is very different from the icon based Android OS of the top-selling Samsung Galaxy S2 and the iOS of the iPhone 4S in that it offers ‘Live Tiles’ operation which can be personalised by the user to show the latest notifications from social networking, text messages, email plus news, weather and other instant information beautifully arranged and constantly updating.
Inside is the Nokia Drive application which is the first to allow the user to download a map of their journey so that they do not need a constant 3G signal whilst travelling, Nokia have also included their Music and Radio services as well as Nokia Maps as pre-installed apps.
Manufactured from a polycarbonate unibody design, the Nokia Lumia 900 measures 128 x 69 x 12mm and weighs in at 160g.
